A striking interplay of old school riffage, rousing guitar leads, and subtle shifts in to more progressive territories. Adventurous, yet never meandering. Sure, the horror influences may be obvious in the quieter moments, but at the core of Hypnagogic Hallucinations is something far more human, something which draws forth sorrow and the shadows of the soul. It strikes at the heart more than I could've expected. Bedsore have unleashed a glorious record.
