I love seeing bands taking elements from both DM and BM and mixing them together in some new, refreshing way, and that is just what Auroch does here. No fluff here, this EP is explosive and enthralling all the way through. I'm eagerly awaiting more from this stellar band. Favorite track: Hideous New Gods.

Adam Ferris Sounds completely brain-burstingly insane. Imparts a truly deranged mindset, and leaves me with a very unique unsettled feeling. Real magic.

PannionSeer Flurries of intricate and byzantine riffs paired with primal aggression is what Auroch does best, and they succeed yet again with this EP, which is also one of the most polished and melodic releases in their arsenal. Favorite track: Carving The Axis Mundi.

Vancouver’s Auroch return with new music for the first time in nearly four years. The new mini-album ‘Stolen Angelic Tongues’ draws upon the magical and spiritual traditions of South America and the Caribbean as their histories, past and present, represent a microcosm of the great spiritual rebellion that has been the band’s inspiration throughout its singular discography.

An ever-evolving beast of the deep, here Auroch conjure vicious Black / Death spells of occult necromancy and technical sorcery, making manifest a dark vision of obscure magic . Returning to the fold is original vocalist Culain who here summons spirits of the abyssic fire with savage equanimity. Joining with their Covenant Circle brethren in Night Profound and Aos Si, eerie ambient recordings bookend the concept piece to dramatic effect.

The CD version of the release, re-titled ‘All The Names Of Night’ not only includes the ‘Stolen Angelic Tongues’ mini-album, but compiles 3 additional tracks from the earlier age of Auroch, including their ‘Seven Veils’ EP tracks and their contribution to the split with Mitochondrion, representing an evolutionary document of the bands trajectory through it’s first phase.

I came accross Black Curse, and their first demo, on Greg Biehl / No Gleaming Light YT channel in late 2019 and a bit later, in 2020, as it was covid, a whole lot of time was spent at home listening to music. In April 2020, I took a slap in my face. The songs that were already on the demo, with the new production here were so insane, it dragged me to hell. Black Curse is definitely one of the most violent band I listened in the last years. Next-level Black-Death metal for sure ! drs_dramm
